Boys & Girls Club, Raleigh

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
DreamJob Description

For more than a century, Boys & Girls Clubs have helped put young people on the path to great futures. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Our vision is to provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.

Now with DreamJobbing, we hope to expand our member's horizons and experiences. Below you will see videos of some of our talented, hardworking club members from our teen center. We are looking for local businesses in Raleigh to encourage and inspire these bright students by offering a one day job shadow opportunity that would give a first-hand look at a career of which they may be dreaming. We are also looking for virtual mentors to offer 15 minutes of their time to connect with our club members.

FOR ANY COMPANIES, EMPLOYERS, MENTORS, ETC. interested in offering an opportunity to one of the students you see here, please email

Boys & Girls Club

Four key characteristics define the essence of a Boys & Girls Club: 1. Dedicated youth facility: A Boys & Girls Club is a place—an actual neighborhood-based building— designed solely for youth development purposes. 2. Open daily: The Club is open after every school day and on Saturdays, when kids have free time and need positive, productive outlets. 3. Professional staff: Every Club has full-time, trained youth development professionals— providing role models and mentors. Part-time staff and volunteers provide key supplementary support. 4. Available and affordable to all youth: Clubs reach out to kids who cannot afford, or may lack access to, other community programs. Membership fees are low, only $7.50 per year to join.
