Calling all students interested in entertainment! This is an once-in-a -lifetime opportunity to job shadow Michelle Lynch, the Vice President of Content Strategy at CBS Interactive.

CBS Interactive is known for shows like The Big Bang Theory, Criminal Minds, Survivor, The Amazing Race, NCIS, The Late Late Show with James Corden, The Good Fight and many, many more. This unique opportunity will give you a glimpse at what working in the business of television entails.

Michelle's role and the responsibility of her team is to be the brand ambassadors for all primetime CBS shows in their representation across digital platforms which includes the distribution and marketing of full episodes and related promotional content across web, mobile, apps, social media and OTT (Over The Top platforms like Apple TV, Roku, Amazon, etc). They work closely with show producers and network programming, marketing and PR brass on the creative and strategy around those promotional efforts. They partner with the sales team to develop content and media focused packages to take to market for sponsorship as well as shepherd creative on other show extensions like mobile games, merchandise and partner promotions.

For this Job Shadowing experience, you will spend a day learning the ins and outs of television business from Michelle and her team at CBS. This is an incredible learning opportunity for anyone interested in working in entertainment!

Michelle grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated with Honors with a B.S. in Journalism from University of Colorado, Boulder before starting her career at the CBS Television Network in the Scheduling & Program Planning and Publicity teams. Later, she moved to New York City for a role in the Marketing & Media group at the League Office of the NFL and continued in sports marketing at the LA Dodgers managing sponsorship partner relations before ultimately returning to CBS on the Interactive side in 2008.
